Based on guidelines from Metropolitan Nicholas

  • Capacity for indoor church events is still limited to 50% occupancy.

  • Masks are optional for attendees if they are fully vaccinated (full series of COVID vaccines + 14 days). Fully vaccinated attendees may choose to wear a mask if they wish.

  • Attendees who are not fully vaccinated must still wear a mask.

  • Churches are not required to ascertain who is and is not vaccinated. For privacy reasons and mutual trust, our church will not ask any attendee if they have been fully vaccinated. Hence, we will use the “honor system”.

  • Attendees are no longer required to pre-register to attend a service or to sign in upon arrival.

  • Upon arrival, we will no longer take temperatures or ask about potential COVID exposure of any attendee.

  • Minimum distancing of at least six feet for all individuals not from the same party is still required.

  • The physical reverencing via contact of icons, crosses, priest’s hand, and other items is still prohibited.

  • Bulletins, antidoron, koliva, etc. and other distributed materials will be left for attendees in the Narthex to retrieve on their own.

  • Pews will still be “alternated” to ensure the six-foot social distancing.

  • Traffic patterns will remain the same as we are currently using for arrival, departure, and communion. Parish council members will guide all attendees for communion and dismissal. All attendees will arrive and depart through the front door, except for those who require ramp access.

  • Aside from two alternating chanters, choirs are still prohibited at this time by the Metropolis.

  • Candle donations, stewardship envelopes, memorial and tray donations may be deposited in the tray in the narthex or with any Parish Council member.

  • At this time, because of restrictions, it is not feasible to hold coffee hour after liturgy.
